A Pioneering Partnership

As part of the new partnership, Mer is not only significantly expanding the grocery retailer’s charging infrastructure offering, but is also consolidating its own charging network in western Austria with a large number of attractive charging points. This partnership will benefit customers and visitors in both urban and rural regions.

‘MPREIS shops are located both on busy roads and in the centres of cities and tourist hotspots. They therefore offer a perfect location to further promote access to electromobility in Austria’, Anton Achatz, Managing Director at Mer Austria.

Sustainable fast charging infrastructure

Depending on the location, up to six HPC charging points from Alpitronic will be installed. These provide up to 400 kW of power, which can be used to charge electric vehicles quickly and efficiently while shopping. All new Mer charging points support Plug&Charge and are supplied with 100% renewable energy.

‘We are delighted to have MPREIS as a partner and to be able to support them with our expertise as they continue to expand their commitment to sustainability,’ emphasises Anton Achatz.
