Mer to attend panel debate on energy transition during ONS 2022
ONS offers global perspectives from industry experts and the conference explores changes in the energy world – which during the recent years have developed significantly. Whereas the oil industry was heavily represented in the early days – the renewable energy industry is now taking up more and more space at ONS.
Following the market development and affecting dynamics – Mer’s CEO Kristoffer Thoner, has been invited to contribute to a panel debate, addressing the role of batteries in the energy transition.
Mer will – together with Statnett, Ruter, Volvo, FREYR and Widerøe – discuss what the use of batteries is today and what we will see in the future. In which sectors will batteries be used? Further the session will focus on Mobility and ESS – Energy Storage Systems and showcase examples from the transport sector. What will the future of stationary storage be? How to succeed with large role out and implementation of EV charging infrastructure? And how can storage support the massive roll out of renewable energies?
The session takes place at ONS in Stavanger, Norway on Monday August 29th at 14:45-17:15 at ONS Tech Stage (between Halls 3 & 4).
