The Mer group consists of five EV charging operator companies in Norway, Sweden, Germany and the UK, with the vision to become the best and most customer centric EV charging operator in Europe. The companies operate independently, but recently centralized IT and Technology employees under one umbrella. The Mer group is majority owned by Norwegian Statkraft, Europe’s largest renewable energy producer. 

Mer in the UK consists of two businesses one focusing on public charging (Mer Charging UK in London) and the other fleet charging (Mer Fleet Services in Consett). We are looking for a proactive individual with a keen interest and knowledge of EV transition and sustainability.

Key activities will amongst others be: 

    • Copy writing for our blogs, case studies, press releases, website, brochures and other marketing material
    • Creating content for marketing campaigns such as advertorials and e-guides
    • Managing our newsletters
    • Looking after our social media platforms (content management and community engagement)
    • Coming up with content ideas and recommending content formats (i.e videos, infographics...)
    • Researching industry trends and topics and keeping up to date with the latest content techniques
    • Liaising with our PR agency and assisting them with copy-editing, proofreading and approvals
    • Building relationships with the press and relevant media outlets
    • Collaborating with the wider European marketing team and other departments (sales and operations team)
    • Reporting on activities results and suggesting improvements
    • Other ad hoc marketing tasks
    • Formulating our B2B and B2C content strategy
    • Uploading website content such as blogs and press releases

We think you have a profile like this:

    • Hold a Marketing/Content degree and/or relevant experience
    • Organised and able to write for multiple target audiences (our audience is a mix of B2B and B2C)
    • A self-starter with good time management and committed to deadlines
    • An understanding of SEO/keywords strategy
    • Looking to work for a sustainable business, with an interest in EV’s and the EV transition within the UK context. Existing knowledge of the market (public and fleet charging) would be beneficial
    • Experience with a CMS platform, preferably WordPress
    • Not essential but design knowledge and short video creation experience would be advantageous
